Early Christmas
Luc watching MiMi
Luc got to open presents early since we aren't going to be coming back to Alabama for Christmas.
Luc got lots of books, some puzzles, a shaving kit, Woody and Buzz.
This is what happens when you let your already tired 2 and a half year old stay up really late. It was brought on because he wanted to take a bath so that he could shave his beard.
Pottery Painting
Luc worked really intently...for about 10 minutes...then came a huge meltdown.
We went so that I could make Evan's foot plate. I made one for Luc when he was about 5 and a half months old.
Sitting and Scooting
Evan is sitting like a pro now. He can go from sitting to his belly too. He can't go from his belly to sitting position yet though. He is also scooting all over the place. I'll upload a video soon.

Evan at 6 Months
I can't believe this boy is 6 months old. I think I say this every month but really. Why do babies have to grow up so fast? Evan is officially 6 months old. We will not have his 6 month check up until he is almost 7 months. I don't know his height or head circumference but I did weigh him. He is a load to carry around at 19 pounds.
Evan is still not sleeping through the night. In fact, now that we are back in Alabama, he has been waking up every 1-3 hours. No, I am not exaggerating.
I started feeding him cereal and usually apples once a day. He doesn't like to eat from a spoon. A lot of the time, he mashes his lips together so that I can't feed him. If he does eat it, he will gag or just spit it out. I don't know how much actually goes through.
I am just assuming that some cereal is going through and that it is the culprit to his constipation the past couple of days. He hasn't pooped in a couple of days and he's been gassy. When I started feeding Luc cereal, he became constipated. I am just assuming that Evan is getting some cereal in him and that the same thing is happening. Anyway, the nurse at his doctor's office said that I could just stop feeding him until I get back to Austin and see Dr Mani.
Here are some fun things that Evan has been doing:
-smiles most of the time
-reaches for me
-still loves to watch Luc
-loves to grab anything within reach
-of course anything he grabs goes directly to his mouth
-he is sitting pretty good without support
-he scoots all over the place
-is very cuddly
-loves his burp clothes (strange I know but it is his lovey)
- loves to suck his toes
-fake coughs and gags to make us laugh
-When I wave, he throws his arm around like crazy. I can't decide if this is his wave or just a movement
Luc and Evan comparisons at 6 months:
-Luc 17 lbs; Evan 19 lbs
-Luc started crawling right after his 6 month birthday; Evan is almost there
-Luc was sleeping through the night; Evan is not even close
-Both were happy, smiley babies
-Both grabbed everything and put everything in their mouths
At MiMi and Granddaddy's house
MiMi and Granddaddy are doing some making major renovations on their house. Luc is having a lot of fun playing in all the mess.
I love this picture. It completely defines Luc's personality.
Another favorite
Brian and his dad talking about house stuff
Granddaddy raked up a huge pile of leaves for jumping in
I wish this wasn't blurry. Luc got some air in this jump.
Brotherly Love

"NO EBAN DATS MY TAR"
Evan is thinking "HAHA I already know how to get under his skin."
Working and Family
Luc and Braddock were planning on cutting Granny's grass but the lawn mower was broken.
This was not a good idea. Who knows how old this thing is? It is not very sturdy.
While Papa John worked on the lawn mower, Luc worked on Papa John's back. Both are up and running again now.

Wake Up Call
Sorry for all you animal loving people. Actually, I love animals too but not when unwanted guests enter the safety of your own yard. My mom was walking through the yard early the other morning and saw this guy. He won't be stalking our pets anymore.
Congratulations Andrew
Friday night we went to watch my little cousin, Andrew, play for the state championship of AISA football. It was a great game and they won. Luc wanted to go run on the grass with those boys.
He finally got his wish during the celebration...though "those big boys" weren't running around anymore. That is Luc, in the picture below, about to nosedive into the ground.
Having Fun on the Farm
Luc still loves to help Papa John feed the cows.
Evan had fun with Grandpa
And he really loves the swing
You know you're in the country when you go looking for your toddler and find this...
