Chuck E Cheese

MeMe and Granddaddy took us to Chuck E Cheese while we were visiting. We all had a lot of fun. Luc loved riding the rides. The big kids had fun playing all the games. Luc loves when Chuck E comes out. He thinks the machanical Chuck E is real. Luc wanted fake Chuck E to hold him so bad.

Luc was really grumpy this morning. I asked him to give me a happy face. This is what I got.

Thank you MeMe and Granddaddy, Uncle Jason, Aunt Allison, and Memaw for all of our Christmas gifts!

Christmas at Baboo's

We have Christmas with my mom's side of the family on Christmas Eve...also my birthday. Happy birthday to me! As a kid, a birthday on Christmas Eve kind of sucked. Mama did a really good job trying to have birthday parties for me in early December or in January though. I enjoy it now because I always get to spend my birthday with my family. This year I was surprised with a Coca-Cola cake...my favorite. It was delicious. Thank you Mama!

As we've gotten bigger, and the little kids (my little cousins), have grow, it is a house full. There were so many people there. Luc had so much fun with all of his aunts and uncles and cousins. Here is some of the chaos.

Lacey helped Luc open his presents

Luc took a break from the presents. This was Baboo's (my grandmother) rocking chair when she was a little girl. We've all enjoyed it. I think it's great that it has been around for so long and been through so many kids. It is still in great condition.

Da and Luc watching the "Luc and Mama" Elf dance that Da made on the computer. Luc couldn't figure it out. He would watch the screen then look down at his clothes and shoes. I think he was trying to figure out how he got those silly looking clothes on.

Luc hasn't seen his cousin Aaron much but I think they became big buddies.

Thank you Baboo and Da, Bec, Bug, and Uncle Lee for all of Luc's presents! Y'all weren't able to see him enjoy his toys, books, pajamas, and money but he has been...well he'll enjoy the money in years to come ;-) Baboo, he wore his pajamas tonight. They were nice and warm.

Montgomery Zoo Lights

The Montgomery Zoo has tons of lights at Christmas time every year. We used to go some when we were kids and Brian and I went a few times when we were dating. We took Luc this year. He loved it. He was amazed at all the "isis ights".

We met some good friends from Auburn there. I babysat Grace and Abby when they were infants up until I moved away from Auburn. I miss the girls a lot...and their mom and dad too. We rode the train around instead of walking because it was freezing.

We rode the train a second time with GiGi, Papa John, Uncle Daniel, and Uncle David.

As we were leaving we noticed the petting zoo, camel ride, and monkey picture. After watching this super cute and super funny monkey, I decided that we had to hold him. I never realized how much personality monkey have. Mr. Wilson was a really silly monkey.

Look closely...he gave Brian a wet willy. I really wish I had this part on video.

Christmas with GiGi and Papa John

Since the week was so busy and everyone wanted to see Luc enjoy his gifts, we decided to openned presents with my parents, brothers, and sister early. We had our Christmas the Tuesday before Christmas. Luc got lots of great gifts.

Uncle Daniel got Luc a tee-ball set

He also got a doctor's kit. He already knew how to use some of the tools. Thank you GiGi and Papa John!

FYI: gift bags are a great gift too

Helping Granny open her present

Brian can finally throw away his dirty old Saucony's that he's had since high school. Thank you Mama and Daddy!

Heather painted Daddy a deer picture

Thank you GiGi and Papa John, Aunt Heff, Uncle Daniel, Uncle David, and Granny for all the great presents you got us for Christmas! We love y'all.

Fun things in Fort Deposit

Luc loves animals. When we go to my parents, he gets to spend a lot of time chasing the cats and dogs (yelling "hold you"). He also gets to feed and pet the cows and horses. My mom has several kittens and two small dogs. These poor animals get lots of unwanted attention from Luc when we're there.

Tractor, four wheeler, and Ranger rides

We got to do some hunting while we were there. Neither Brian nor myself got a deer. Thankful Heff let us take ALL of her doe. Yummy! Oh I do have a video of myself sitting in the woods. I got kind of bored sitting out there by myself and I thought looked pretty funny with my face mask on.

Aunt Heff and I built the coolest ever train track around the living room. It was huge. Here is Uncle Daniel wishing that he could build a track half as cool as this one.

Aunt Heff was a fun playmate too.

GiGi and Uncle David played too but I don't have any pictures of them just having fun.

Luc's preschool Christmas program

Luc's preschool had a Christmas program before Christmas break. He didn't sing any songs but he sat there and clapped when they were done. I was just glad that he didn't cry and have to come sit with us.

Santa's came early to our house

One of the worst things about living so far from home is traveling at Christmas. I love to be home and I would hate to miss spending Christmas with my family but I would love to be able to be at my own house on Christmas Eve night. For now, we'll be traveling though. Since we have to travel, we decided to ask Santa to visit our house early.

We have been talking about Santa to Luc. We have read Santa books and seen Santa at the mall. We told Luc last night that Santa was coming while he was sleeping. I don't know how much he understood about that but he was very excited last night.

He was even more excited when he woke up this morning. If you can't understand what he is saying, he kept saying "Santa Claus bring this".

Luc loves these big dump trucks. He has played with one at the playground a few times. As you can see, he was so excited when he saw what was in the box. He was begging Brian to "open please".

For those of you who are in the same situation and prefer for Santa to visit at your own home, this worked out very well for us. Someone asked me what we will do when Luc is old enough to know that Santa usually comes Christmas Eve night. Hopefully, we will be having Christmas Eve night/Christmas morning at our house by then. If not, Santa will just keep making special trips for kids who travel during Christmas.
