Camping 2011 - Part 3

Anderson started the morning in time-out
Then he noticed me taking pictures of him...so much for time out
These two may be in love
Daddies
Camping in the spring is not ideal if you have allergy problems

My favorite boys...I love them
More water fun
Evan loved playing in the water. He is actually quite difficult to watch in the water. He is all over the place.
Ryan and Luc found the top of the waterfall. They thought this was really funny.
This was a really fun camping trip. Thank you Kim for organizing!

Camping 2011 - Part 2

That night we had a baby shower for some long lost friends ;) Grant and Amanda. They are expecting their first baby at the end of the summer. They are also great camping pros!
Cake bakers/shower organizers

Who took all these off-center photos? GOSH!
Mr Sam and Ryan

The evening went surprisingly well. I was a little bit worried about Evan specifically sleeping out of his bed. We shared a tent with Caren, Jason, Maizie, and Anderson. All the kids did very well. I think we could do this again.

Camping 2011 - Part 1

We went down to McKinney Falls State Park in south Austin for camping this past weekend. It was lots of fun being with our good friends out in the woods.

We had an Easter egg hunt for the kids.

Yes, this is dirt all over Evan's face. He ate lots of dirt, maybe some leaves and possibly even a rock or two.

Sarah enjoying a good book. This looks super relaxing.
After the Easter egg hunt, we headed out for a little hike to the "lower falls". The kids loved playing in the water. It was too cold for the grown-ups.
This one's for you Caren! TURRIBLE!
Those are two cute boys!
Brian and Luc found the waterfall. We are obviously in a drought right now.
Kim and I climbed up with the kids to check out the waterfall.
There's more to come...

What? A blog post?

Yep, we're still alive. I have LOTS to catch up on. I'll just start by filling everyone in on what's going on right now. A nasty stomach bug is sweeping through our house. Luc had it last week. We thought it was gone but it came back this weekend. Tonight Brian got it. Hopefully, he has a much milder case. Poor Luc was really really sick. Evan may be getting it too. He wouldn't eat anything tonight...including nursing which is pretty major for him. There has never been a time that he has turned down nursing. We'll see what the rest of our evening holds. I should probably get to sleep in case I'm up later.

Since we couldn't go to church and infect our friends with our nasty germs, we went hiking this morning. It was a lot of fun. Luc was feeling much better. We all really enjoyed being outside.
