November recap

We had a busy month in November.

 

We squeezed in a trip to the park with these cute babies.

We went downtown with the Gohean's for the Christmas parade. 

I ran my first ever 5K with one of my favorite people. 

My biggest excitement was getting to go to Chicago kid-free for a long weekend. I can't thank everyone who helped get me there enough. It was so much fun! 

I got to see my friend Myra while I was there. 

My friend Lauren and I spent some time together without our kids for the first time ever. We enjoyed eating in peace and having uninterrupted sleep. 

Thank you to the McNeil's for coming to help while I was gone and for Luc's surgery. He had his adenoids and tonsils out and tubes in his ears. He was quite a trooper. In fact, he has been asking if he can do it again. 

Camp Mabry

We met some friends at Camp Mabry last week. The kids had a lot of fun checking out the tanks, planes, and other millitary vehicles.

There isn't much for babies to do except look adorable

 

They have added some dress up gear since last time we visited.

Visit from Uncle Lee

I am going to try to start blogging again. I hate that I missed out most of last year. I use my blog as a scrapbook/photo journal. So here goes...

 

Uncle Lee came to see us last weekend. He was only here a couple of days but we squeezed in some fun. We enjoyed his visit and wish we could see him more often.

Another day at the lake

Saturday, we went back tot Windy Point with the Goheans. We all had a lot of fun. Brian, Jeff, Luc, and Annie took a swim.

Then a big storm rolled in...just in time for naps. 

Windy Point

I have not had time lately for blogging...or anything else for that matter. I had to take out some time to post these pictures though. We went to Windy Point beach at Lake Travis this morning with some friends. The kids had so much fun playing. Kim and I sat in the water and had long uninterrupted conversations. It was the best.

 Luc made a cool sand/stick tower.

 Then they decided to take mud baths...

 I'm pretty sure Evan got the best bath.

Fourth of July Festivities

We began our Fourth of July with a parade with the Gohean/McKinney's. Luc and Evan were really excited to decorate their bikes and to ride in a parade. All the kids looked so cute.

Kristen's parents were so sweet to let us crash their family picnic after the parade. We worked up quite an appetite during that parade. Then the kids ran around and played. The daddy's tried to have a bike ride too. Thank you Kristen for asking us to come with y'all. We had a lot of fun. 

We planned a picnic in the park with the Georges but the heat changed our plans. Two pregnant women sitting out in 95 degree heat just didn't sound like fun. We moved the picnic indoors then headed to the park later in the evening. The kids all loved the fireworks. 

We had a great Fourth of July!
