HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Tonight we went to a Halloween party at our apartment complex then we came home to hand out candy to trick or treaters. Luc was a lion again...and a super cute one I might add. I was not half as creative with costumes this year as last. Brian and I didn't even dress up this year and I bought Luc's costume.

Here's a picture from last year just to remind ya'll of how awesome it was.

Halloween lunch and playdate

Nancy hosted our Thursday lunch. We had delicious soup and salad. The older kids (and moms) got to decorate cookies. And Nancy had a fun Halloween craft for everyone to do. We also dressed all the little ones up and tried to get some cute pictures. Of course Luc didn't want to cooperate as usual. He was quite a trooper today after being in the car for about an hour and 15 minutes and hungry and tired.

Luc the Lion, Mazie the bee, and Ryan the frog...I love how Mazie and Ryan are looking at Luc like "what's wrong with you?"

Now poor Ally was sad!

Recent videos

I started posting and realized that 3 of these videos are of Luc playing with things other than toys. He has so many toys but he would much rather play with my pots and pans and utensils, cups, boxes, cabinets, drawers, and the laundry basket. It reminds me of when I used to take empty wine boxes home from work for Will and Sam to play with. They would play for hours with those boxes. They played "race cars" and "trains" with them.
Luc is showing off that he knows how to drink out of a cup.

Brian put the laundry basket on top of Luc one day and it became a game. He thinks it's funny. Usually he laughs but he wasn't really laughing in the video.

I think it's time to fasten the drawers to the wall. Tonight Luc spent about 15 minutes openning and closing the drawers. He was studying them so closing. Is he going to be a carpenter?

He is really getting good at walking and pushing his tractor. He can walk behind it and push it around the room but usual he walks beside it. He also likes for me to push him around on it but it kills my back.

And the best for last...Luc gets SO silly at night time. He is pretty silly during the day too but he giggles at everything late in the afternoon. Here he is laughing at peek-a-boo.

Also Saturday....

Luc loves it when Brian plays guitar. He also wants to play himself some too.

Saturday night, after Luc went to bed, Brian and I wanted to have some good ole grown-up fun. We carved our pumpkins. After they sat in our kitchen for about 3 weeks, we FINALLY carved them and put them outside.

Happy Birthday Annie!

Saturday, we went to Luc's friend, Annie's first birthday party. Annie had a costume party. All the babies were dressed up so cute. We had lots of fun celebrating with Annie. Here are some pictures.

Lots of cute babies all dressed up

Usually I dress up for Halloween but this year I was very lazy

Caren and Jason came over Friday night. Luc had so much fun playing with Mazie. Mazie is a great babysitter so that the adults can play games. Well okay she didn't completely babysit. ;-)
I asked Mazie to sit by Luc so I could take their picture. She turned around and sat with her back toward me just like he was. I wish the picture was clear. It was pretty funny.

Luc thought Mazie was so funny crawling through his tunnel. (Yes, he does look drunk but I did not give him any beer.)

Thursday's lunch and playdate at the park

The playdates at the park are becoming more fun for us. Luc is getting to the age that he can actually play at the playground rather than just sit in the stroller or be held.

Ally and Mia shared their wagon with Luc...who was so happy to be in there. This picture isn't good because I had my camera on the wrong setting. Maybe Kim or Tanya got a better picture.

Luc loves to swing.

Ryan and Luc playing in the tunnel

Ryan peeking through the tunnel at me

This was going to be the cutest picture. It's pretty hard to get a 9 month old and an 8 month old to do the same thing at the same time to get the perfect picture.

Here are Ally, Ryan, and Luc waiting for bubbles.

Luc: "I don't want to hang out with you babies. I'm going to turn around so my mom can't see me eating the grass."

We sat all the babies side by side. Luc kept trying to eat grass and I was stopping him. He finally just turned around. I'm sure he wasn't intentionally turning around so that I wouldn't see him eating grass. It was really funny though. He was not being sociable.

First big boo boo

So this isn't a BIG boo boo but it was the biggest Luc's had so far. He was walking around his activity table the other night and fell. He hit his face on the corner of the TV stand. He had a nasty goose-egg on his forehead. Luckily, it was right before bathtime so he forgot about it pretty quickly. He still has a little red mark today but it really didn't bruise or anything. I thought it was going to be big black and blue. Here are a couple of pictures.

This is what Luc does when I turn on the dishwasher. He just sits in front of it and stares. Every time the noise changes, he looks at me and whines then turns back to continue to stare. It's really funny.

Luc's 8 month birthday and family day

Today is Luc's 8 month birthday. I can't believe he is already 8 months old. Here are 8 things about Luc on his 8 month birthday.
1. He weighs 19.8 lbs. I don't know how long he is right now.
2. He usually sleeps about 12 hours a night waking up once (after 8-10 hours of sleep) to eat. And he takes 2 or 3 naps a day...depending on what time we get up and how well he sleeps for his morning nap.

3. He loves bathtime. Actually, he loves to look over the side of the tub while it's filling up with water. He gets very excited at that.

4. He has been crawling for two months now. He has been pulling up for about a month and a half. And he has been cruising around the furniture for a couple of weeks.
5. He still nurses about every three hours and he eats baby food twice a day. He had an allergic reaction when I gave him table food one day so the doctor told me no more table food until at least after nine months.
6. He loves to feed himself puffs and biter biscuits. We don't do biter biscuits much anymore because he has learned how to bite off big chunks pretty fast.
7. He has learned to give me kisses when I ask...with his mouth open of course.

8. He loves to play "I'm going to get you", read books (especially "Animal Kisses"), play with my dishes on the kitchen floor, try to get any of Daddy's electronics, blow on the glass door, dishwasher or my chest to make a pooting noise, and walk while he holds your hands

Now here are pictures from today. Brian, Luc, and I went down to Zikler park. The weather was beautiful today so we had to take advantage.

...Oh yeah and he loves for Brian to throw him up like this

Dinner and A Rock Band

Kim and Joe invited us and another couple over for dinner last night. We ended up eating at our apartment (because it's so much cooler than Kim and Joe's house..just kidding). It was a lot of fun. We ate a scruptious meal (thanks to Kim) then played some Rock Band.

Here are Ryan and Luc with their new friend Owen. Owen was born at the end of Janurary...right between Ryan and Luc. It was a lot of fun to see the three of them playing together.

The girl band...who btw is WAY better than the boy band
