Love is in the air....

The Georges came over the other night for dinner and fun. Luc and Maizie were really cute. They hugged a lot. I think they even kissed ON THE LIPS when Maizie left. Next thing you know there will be mixed bathing. Watch out!

Before Maizie asked for his bubbles

Maizie asked for the bubbles. Luc is terrified that she will get them.

Anyway, Luc has started saying "yes" when you ask him a yes/no question. So that night at bedtime I heard this conversation between Brian and Luc.
Brian: "Is Maizie your girlfriend?"
Luc: "yes"
B: "Well, is Mia your girlfriend?"
L: "yes"
B: "Is Ally your girlfriend?"
L: "yes"
B: "Do you have lots of girlfriends?"
L: "YESSSS"

While Daddy was gone....

I always get super nervous and stressed out before Brian leaves. The most stressful part is trying to find someone to watch Luc while I work. If it weren't for my work, I would do just fine. Anyway, we made it this week and we had fun too.

Wednesday my friend Shakshi watched him. When I dropped him off, he ran right in to the toys. He kissed me bye when I was leaving and ran right back to play. She said he was busy playing the whole time. I know she took some really cute pictures of him and Jatin playing but I don't have them yet. When I get them, I'll post some.

Thursday we went to a fountain park with some friends. Luc wasn't really into the fountains that day. It was so super hot too. We had a great spot in the shade to chat, watch the kids play, and eat lunch though.

Now is this perfect timing or what?

Thursday night some friends came over after kid bedtimes to hang out with my lonely self. We watched a chick flick and talked. It was so much fun. I can't remember the last time I just got to hang out and do nothing with some girlfriends...and it was so relaxing and fun! Thanks so much Caren and Kim!!! Y'all are awesome!!!

Friday morning Kim and Briana (and their kids) came over to swim. The kids (and grown-ups) had lots of fun. The water was perfect. The pool was still partially shaded so that was nice too. Luc has gotten so brave in the water lately. He thinks he can swim. He will ease down to the bottom step then try to step to the pool. Of course he goes under but it doesn't bother him.

Ryan: "I'm about to beat you up if you don't give me those balls!"

Luc and Bubba in a deep conversation

After a not so long nap, my supervisor's daughter, Kelsea and her friend, Tara came over to play with Luc. They were so good with him. They played and laughed the whole time. Luc would occasionally come in the room where I was and say "nonny" (his way of saying mommy). I think he just wanted to make sure I was still there. He LOVED playing with them. He had so much fun getting all that attention. When they got out of the car, when I dropped took them home, he pitched a huge fit. I don't have any pictures of them playing by the way. I was too busy packing. Oh and I got so much done while they were here.

So I guess Luc is either super exhausted from the busy day or he thinks he is all grown up...I'll stick with super exhausted. Tonight he went to his bed, reached up, and said "monkey". I asked if he wanted to read a story and he just pointed to his bed. No book, no goodnight songs, just light off and bed. I haven't heard a peep out of him. Poor thing!

Chocolate faces

I let Luc help me clean the pan after we made a chocolate pie the other day. After I looked at the picture, I realized I have a picture of Jackson and one of Chase just like the one of Luc. I found the one of Chase, my friend Robin's oldest son. He was about 18 months old. Jackson, my first child, one of my Auburn kids, was about 18 months old too but his picture was taken before my digital camera days. Oh and by the way, this is a super easy no bake chocolate pie. In fact, you could do it in the microwave to make it quicker and easier.

TEMPER!!!

For those of you who always say, "Luc is so sweet"...

Temper! from Noelle McNeil on Vimeo.

This is all because I offered him yogurt for snack. He obviously had something else in mind for his snack.

BTW I usually ignore this behavior. On this particular day, he was very tired though.

Luc and Ryan

Luc and Ryan have become such good playmates. Besides when Luc is being a bully to Ryan, they play really well together. It has been fun watching them grow together. First they just laid beside each other kicking and cooing and looking around. Then they were interested in what each other was doing but didn't know how to interact. Now, they are really interacting more and playing together.

They had their first sleepover a couple of weeks ago. Luc and I stayed over at the Pollard's so Kim and Joe could go out for the evening. Brian was out of town and I needed a babysitter early the next morning so it worked out perfectly. Here are a few pictures I took that evening.

Then this week Kim and Ryan came over here. It was so much fun watching the boys play. Luc was actually nice to Ryan too. I would tell them to share something...they would stand facing each other and hand a toy back and forth. They are so cute.

"Um what are y'all doing to us?"

They were much happier in separate baskets

Bye-bye hugs

Videos from home

I forgot that I took some videos when we were home.

Here is poor little Tux being dragged around by Luc

I heard Laiken and Adrianne giggling up a storm. When I went downstairs to see what was so funny, this is what they were doing.

Throwing

Luc loves play rough. He loves to roll around and wrestle. Brian claims that he likes to be hit with a ball although I'm not so sure. He also loves to be thrown in the air. Check out these big grins!

I promise he was laughing so much

Saturday evening at Brushy Creek Lake Park

We met Tanya, Wilson, Mia, and Ally at the Brushy Creek Sprinkler Park Saturday evening. We ran and played in the spinklers...which felt so good in the sweltering heat. Brian slaved away grilling us some brats while we played. They were delicious. He is such a good grill chef.

Luc wasn't crazy about the big sprinklers. He did enjoy the little fountains though.

Wilson ran Ally through the sprinklers on his shoulders. She was having so much fun that she decided to do it herself when he put her down. It was so cute seeing her little bitty self take off running out into the pouring waters.

Mia and Luc snacking on fruit.

Here is our attempt at getting a picture of the kids together.

Brian and Tanya chatting

Luc and Ally decided to go on a hike by themselves. They could have cared less if we were following them or not.

These kids thought chips were the best thing ever. They couldn't get enough of them.

For my Austin friends, if you go out there, I highly recommend wearing your swimsuit. Most of the other adults will be in theirs. You will want to play too...not to mention it's really nice to cool down.

Arjun's wedding

One of Brian's good friends, Arjun, got married while we were home. Brian was a groomsmen and looked so handsome. We had a full weekend. Friday evening, we had the rehersal and dinner. Saturday, we had a traditional Indian grooms family and friends luncheon. Then Saturday evening was the wedding. Luc was such a trooper through it all...especially since he was battling an ear infection. It was a lot of fun.

The guys were craking me up trying to hold Luc. They were a bit awkward holding poor Luc. I hope they get some practice before they have their own.

This is probably my favorite picture ever (well, so is Mia picking her nose that I posted a few weeks ago)

Joey, Sagar, Arjun, and Brian...Brian's friends from high school

There was a Hindu ceremony and a Christian one. Both were very beautiful. I had never seen a Hindu wedding. It was very interesting. The man leading the ceremony did a good job explaining the steps they took in the ceremony and why they did them. I tried to take some pictures during the ceremony but they didn't turn out very clear. I missed some of the ceremonies too. Here is what we were doing.

Mr. and Mrs. Seth

Luc ran all over the dance floor. He found a little girl and wrapped his little arms around her. It looked like he was trying to slow dance. I had to get him before I had a chance to take a picture. She wasn't too happy about him hugging her. He had a lot of fun at the reception.

Here is Joey...and his girlfriend.

Playing with Daddy

Luc fell asleep so Sagar's mom held him while Brian and I cut some moves on the dance floor. It was a lot of fun. I wish we had more opportunities to dance. It's a very rare occassion these days though.

I married him for his dance moves.

Wild Stallions...they did this in picture at our wedding too.
