The Georges came over for dinner one night last week. Luc was so excited to see Maizie and Anderson. He and Maizie played together so well. Here they are "taking a nap".
I think Anderson is very interested in babies. He kept laying by Evan and watching him.Friday, December 31, 2010
Christmas Eve
Well, the batteries in my camera have been dead so I haven't been able to take or upload any pictures. My batteries died during presents Christmas morning. Anyway, here is our Christmas story and the pictures that I do have.
Brian made me an awesome birthday cake on the 24th. It was my favorite, Coca-Cola cake. It was delicious!
I cooked a big Christmas dinner with turkey, dressing, sweet potato casserole, and Brian made some green beans. It was all pretty good if I can brag a bit. Then of course, we had cake for dessert.
After dinner, the boys openned a few presents. We got them matching pajamas but Evan puked on his before he even made it to bed. So no cute matching pjs for Christmas morning this year.
Luc's robe from GiGi and Papa John
I had big plans to make cookies with Luc for Santa. Didn't happen. Santa got Vanilla Wafers and the Reindeer got carrots and celery.
I have videos of opening presents and all but I'm having trouble uploading them.
Cookies
We had some friends over to make Christmas cookies a few days before Christmas. I think the Mamas ended up making more cookies than the kids. The kids pretty much at dough and icing until they were full then they were done. It was fun anyway.
Lucky boy has both Gohean girls. Evan is Annie's "favorite baby".
And this is how MegMeg feels about that.

I don't really know why these are the only pictures I have from our cookie making day.

All About Evan
Evan is 7 months now. He saw the doctor just last week for his 6 month check up even though he was also 7 months. He has dropped down to the 50th percentile for both weight and height. He is doing great. She told me that I should really be more consistent working with him eating baby food especially seeing that I am going back to work a few hours a week next month.
He is crawling all over the house. He does an army crawl. He pulls himself with his arms. It doesn't slow him down though. He's quick. If I go in another room, he will follow me in there. He is also finally eating baby food better. Ashley worked with him a couple of times while we were staying at her parents house. He eats pretty good now. He will also drink from a sippy cup. He cut his first tooth...the day we moved. He LOVES taking a bath. I will get a video as soon as I can. It is hilarious. He goes nuts in there.
Such a big boy.
Moving
Bret, Jason, Alex, and Tanner THANK YOU SO MUCH for helping us move. We couldn't have done all that without your help. AND Denise and Ashley, THANK YOU SO MUCH for watching the boys so that I could help move. I definitely would not have been very useful with babies around me. I know they had much more fun over there anyway. AND Denise and Steve THANK YOU SO MUCH for letting us bombard your house for several days. We really enjoyed staying there. And we really appreciate all the cooking and help with the kids.
It was too bright outside to get a good picture but 3 grown men are packed into this truck. I thought it was funny so I had to get a picture.
Luc and Evan tearing through the boxes of toys.
Friends Friends Friends
Kim, Ryan, Molly, and Sarah came over the day we got the apartment. It was great for the boys to play because there were only toys out...no furniture. For some reason, I only have a picture of the babies though.
Trouble
Rewind...the drive back to Texas wasn't too bad. I was in my car with the boys and Brian was in his car with most of our junk. We left Fort Deposit around naptime. Stopped a couple of times then stayed the night in Baton Rouge at Brian's brothers house. We left when we got up the next morning and drive the rest of the way to Austin. The boys did really well.
So when we got back, we stayed with my good friends parents who go to our church. Dylan was there waiting for us when we got there Monday. These two boys play great together. They are both super hyper and rough. I never have to worry that Luc is going to hurt Dylan when they play together.
"Gwandma" reading to the boys before bed
This is how these monkeys play pool.
I have some pictures of Evan and Emilie too but they are all on my phone. They loved looking at each other.
Evan's First Cookie
I heard about these things called MumMums. They are great. They are thin little rice cakes that pretty much dissolve in your mouth. Evan loves them.
Christmas with Granny
After about 12 shots, this was the best I got. This was going to be used for Christmas cards but I never made them...so Merry Christmas!

Visiting Santa
Bass Pro Shop was doing free Santa pictures and fun games. We headed up there one evening to let Luc see Santa and to take our cousin who was visit from Australia. Luc loves going there and with Santa there too it was double fun.
Fun Hunting
I spent a couple of weeks at my parents house while Brian was in D.C. before we came back to Texas. I got to go hunting a few times with my dad. We had a lot of fun...especially considering we both killed a doe the first day we were out.
