Gigi and Pap John
My parents were here for Evan's birth...although they actually missed it because he came so fast. So here are the proud grandparents...
And here we all are...
Evan's first trip to the playground
We all took Luc to play at the playground the Friday after Evan was born. He was so exctied that everyone went to play with him. Evan seemed to enjoy himself too.
Baby Luc
That's what he calls himself sometimes. He decided that he needs a pacifier like baby brother. For a day he walked around with this thing in his mouth.
First bath at home
Evan hates a sponge bath. I don't blame him. I'm sure it's pretty cold. I try to give him his bath after I have had a hot shower so the bathroom is nice and warm. That doesn't seem to matter though. He has screamed throughout every bath so far. Maybe he'll enjoy baths once he can splash around in the warm water.
We have pictures almost exactly like these of Luc's first sponge bath.
Spring Preschool Program
Luc's preschool had their spring program the day after Evan and I came home from the hospital. I was so sad to miss it but Brian and my Dad got some cute pictures and video. Luc clapped and sang along to the songs this time.
He looks like he's having a lot of fun up there.
Then he spots his Daddy.
Gardeners
While my parents were in town, Farmer Papa John helped us grow a balcony garden. We now have cherry tomatoes, sweet peppers, basil, rosemary, mint, and butter beans growing. Some lucky person can inherit these in August when we leave.

Brothers
Luc loves to hold his baby brother
One thing I hate is for someone to let my baby suck on their finger. At least this germy toddler finger is protected. Luc it is so funy to stick his finger in the hole of Evan's pacifier while he's sucking.
He always wants Evan to hold his finger.

Luc sayings
As I was putting Luc down for nap he said "take picture with just Luc and Mama". So we have a special photo shoot yesterday afternoon of just Luc and Mama.
There are lots of funny nursing comments.
Luc: Eban eating Mama's boobs?
Me: Yes, he's drinking milk from my boobs
Luc: Luc drink milk from Mama's boobs too. (leaning in to pretend) num num num
Me: No, only babies drink from their Mama's boobs. You drank my milk when you were a baby.
Luc: Eban so silly eating Mama's boobs.
As he is closely examining my breast...
Luc: (very excited) Mama there's milk. (yelling with excitement) YEAH! More milk. See Mama see.
He quietly walked over to Evan sleeping in the swing and Brian and I overheard "Eban, you want some Mama's milk? You hungry Eban? Otay!"
A few weeks ago, he told me that he needed a bra.
He says some really funny things. A friend suggested that I start a twitter account just for funny comments he says. Maybe I'll get to that one day.
Homecoming
Luc ran up and gave Monkey to Evan. So sweet. Monkey is his very dear bedtime friend.
He loves to hold and kiss him.
My favorite picture ever!
Laugh it up...
Everyone has been saying that I look good for just having a baby. I must say I feel a trillion times better this time. Here is a little comparison.
Here is what a 12 hour labor, very traumatic delivery, lots of blood loss followed by a blood transfusion and surgery looks like. Gross! This is day after Luc was born.
And here is the day after Evan was born

Who's who?
I think I have to let the newborn look wear off before I can really tell if these brothers are going to look alike. As for now, I can say that Luc's eyes were further apart and darker...maybe I'll get my little blue eyed baby ;-). I think Luc's lips are fuller too. Evan may have his Daddy's complextion too.
