Strawberries, animals, ice cream!!!

Luc and I went with our friends Ashley and Dylan to Sweetberry Farms to enjoy this beautiful weather before it becomes sweltering hot this summer. The boys weren't too interested in picking strawberries. They ran up and down the rows though.
There are 3 or 4 big strawberry fields
This was the real fun part for the boys. They loved watching and feeding the "doats".
There is lots of free area to run off some energy. They ran and ran and ran.
Sweet boys were pooped when we left.
By the way, Sweetberry Farms also has some really yummy ice cream.

Second haircut

Luc got his first trim last week. It did take a couple of days of shaping but I got it done. Luc did great. I sat him in the Bumbo on the counter so that he could watch TV. At first, I was very upset about how short it was...Brian was really mad. It has grown on me now. I'm still ready for it to grow a little though.

The day after

Some have asked how Luc is today after eating the pavement yesterday. He hasn't complained about hurting or anything. I think his head looks better but his nose looks worse...probably only because it's scabbed over now. He still has a pretty nice size goose egg on his head though.

Luc and I have been sick though. Last night was a rough night for us. I let him sleep in our room on the floor. Neither of us slept well because we couldn't breath. We both have a cold/sinus infection. I think Luc's is just a cold right now. He has complained about his ear hurting today though. We may be visiting the doctor in the next day or so to see. I have an appointment with my ENT tomorrow. I've already been throwing up from this crap. I'm not waiting around for it to go away this time.

Unicorn?

This is what happens when your face meets the concrete.
We were at a baby shower for some friends this afternoon. Luc and a couple of other kids were running around outside. Luc tripped on the sidewalk and landed face first. I was several feet away and heard his head hit. Brian got to him first. When he turned and looked at me this HUGE bump was there. It scared me pretty bad. Luckily, another friend there is an ER nurse. She came out and calmed us all (Thanks Joy!).

He cried for just a few minutes then wanted to get down and run some more. He didn't like sitting with ice on his head. He is fine now too. As soon as we got home, he was jumping off the couch and running around like his normal wild self.

I've posted accident pictures before. All of our kids are doomed. Brian and I are so accident prone. When I was 8 months pregnant with Luc, I fell down the stairs at Brian's parent's house. This past Thursday, I busted my butt in the parking lot of Chick-fil-a...in front of everyone at Luc's preschool fund raiser. Brian has fallen up and down stairs several times that I have witnessed. Surprisingly, neither of us have ever broken a bone.

Cook out and tea party

We got together with some of our neighbors to have a cook out at the pool this afternoon. They have two little girls, River and Shiloh. Luc and the girls yell to each other from our balconies. It's really cute. A couple of other families with young children came too. Poor Luc is one of the very few boys in the crowd.

The kids swam in that freezing water then they all wanted to be wrapped up in the sun.
Luc LOVED River and Shiloh's tea set. He served everyone hot tea.
I so wish I had taken this picture with my good camera. Such a cute boy!

More bluebonnets

I passed this field of bluebonnets yesterday that was beautiful. Even though Luc and I had already taken pictures in the bluebonnets, I dragged him and Brian back out this morning for a family picture. If you're looking for a good place before they all die, this one is on the corner of Anderson Mill and Cypress Creek...and it's a pretty popular place.

And yes, boys can wear pink
This one's a little blurry but it's still cute

Ryan and Molly

Ryan and Molly came over tonight so their mom and dad could have a nice kid-free dinner. Luc had been so excited all day that they were coming over. He LOVES babies. One of his favorite things while I was in the hospital, was to go see the babies in the nursery. When Ryan and Molly got here, he wanted to hold Molly and kiss her and hold her some more. He is so gentle and sweet with her. I so hope he keeps this up for the next few months.
We waited for Ryan to dye our Easter eggs but he only wanted to play with Luc's toys. He had fun enjoying all the toys to himself while Luc was busy with eggs. Luc had fun throwing the eggs in the cups and making the water splash out. I did very well controlling my OCD with cleanliness and let him have fun.
I am so so proud to say that Luc did not have to go to time out or get a spanking a single time while they were here. He told me before they came "share toys Ryan". He really did. He allowed Ryan to play with his toys without snatching, hitting, or pushing. I was so proud of him.

More Easter egg hunting

Our apartment complex had an Easter egg hunt for the kids Wednesday evening. Luc only found a few eggs but he had fun running around the property with Daddy.
This morning we went to our old apartment complex to have an Easter egg hunt with our friends, the Bartley's. Luc had so much fun with Caden, Caleb, and Annie. He found lots of eggs too.
He had to show his Daddy his yummy candy.
Caleb going for the candy.
As you can tell, these three were not in to having their picture taken. They just wanted their candy.
Annie was hugging and kissing all the boys. Watch out Jeff!
They stood here like this hugging for the longest time.
Here Annie was trying to MAKE Luc hold her hand.
Luc was at the top of this wall in no time. He is such an active little boy. I imagine he and his little brother are going to keep us really busy for the next 18 years...oh gosh, then there's college. We're in for it.

Green Thumb?

We want to grow a garden so badly. Since we are in an apartment, we haven't been able to do it. Brian decided to get a couple of small plants the other day. We are going to try parsley, basil, and some random flowers. Luc had a lot of fun working with Daddy.
