Chalk Ridge Falls Park

We found (actually my mom found) this place just north of Austin in Salado, TX. It's called Chalk Ridge Falls Park. It's right by a lake that I don't remember the name of. There are tons of hiking trails in there. There is a waterfall...with very little water this year. There are also caves in the mountain that the trail follows along. We tried to find the largest one which people go in but we didn't make it that far. It is about 5 miles down the trail. It would be awesome to go back without kids to find it though. The trails are very easy for kids to hike though. There are cliffs that you really have to watch out for.

You can either hike along the river or up beside the mountain

This has bad idea written all over it. As I am watching, I was thinking "how in the world are we going to get him back to the car to get to the hospital when he falls and breaks something"

This is the cool suspension bridge that hangs over the creek

We didn't find the cave but we did find an overhang which made the perfect spot for lunch.
Waiting for us to get up

Trick or Treat!

First stop...Kelsea

 Going to Mrs Susan's house

 I love these curls

Brian and Luc went into a haunted house
 Messy!

Pumpkin carving = MESS

The boys really enjoyed helping scoop out the goo this year.

Evan kept saying "mama dose" (=mama gross)

My kitchen was disgusting! There was sticky pumpkin goo EVERYWHERE. It was fun though.
